Does the list that you want highlighted contain the element that you are pointing at?

Is there a cursor positioning leading attribute in your MAT statement?

Are you skipping over the line that sets the cursor position?

Interrupting the program and setting CURFLD will not work, it has to be a line of code that is executed during program flow.

For the record I was not able to fix this error, we worked around it by thowing the windows XP computer away and replacing it with an XP virtual machine on their windows 7 machine.

Moving the cursor in a grid

The answer to my queston is

or

NONE is the default

For the fun of it you might try using this in a grid.

Open your grid
EXECUTE "CONFIG GRID_CURSOR DOWN"
Just before your INPUT #listwin statement where you query the grid for information insert the following line

Then do your input fileds line which also sets NEXTROW=nxtrow
Do some grid stuff and then return to your grid, not by going to the input fileds line, but by going to the FNACTIVEROW line

Then, somewhere in your program insert the following fnction or refer to the same function contained in a recent copy of FNSNAP.

WHen I was starting this I had to put an "X" atrtribute in each field of the FORMS statement array to get it to work when arrow keays were used to navigate the grid. Let me know if you find you need to do this.

If it works, the active row should have a light orange background in the left hand column, much like Excel does.

Does anyone have a routine to get the number of pages in a PDF file?

I am using Epdf pagenumber, filename to print a PDF file page, but i need to print the entire document. THus i need to know how many pages in the document

I'd also thought about using a NAS for a server... it seems like in Windows Filesharing Implementations, this is all you need.

Uploading a .xml file to a FTP site from WB

I use Core FTP Lite to do this with a command line call in BR. The program checks to see if the file to be uploaded exists, it then calls Core FTP witha site name. ThE ftp address andpassword are retrieved from the Core database. If the transfer is successful, some times it is not, Core knows this and deletes the transfer file and writes an entry in a log file. If it is not successful a log entry is made but the file is not deleted. That way I can just try it again and again until it is sucdessful.

Indicate Sort Column

Is there a way to indicate the current column that a Grid or List is sorted on? Like change the color of the header or something like that?

My preference would be in 4.18 or above, but would live with 4.2 if the feature is available there.

It turns out that the "X" in line 140 traps the FKEY, so the "Automatic Tab Navigation" doe not happen.

I added lines 370 & 371 to trap for 110/111 to move the cursor.

"X" give significant control over the process, but also requires the programer to trap for all navigation options.
